2004 Other Jaguar Models V8 43,000 miles

I drive a 2004 Jaguar XKR convertable. The windows automatically unseat them selves from the door gaskets when the doors are opened and then re-seat themselves when the door is closed. My drivers side window recently stopped doing this which requires that I lower the window a little bit before getting out of my car. Failure to do so prevents me from closing and locking my dcoor when I get out. A dealer in California showed me how to reset the windows one time but I have since forgotten how to do it. Can you help?

To re-learn the glass operating characteristics, the associated door must be closed (door ajar switch inactive). The glass must then be driven fully down and held stalled at the bottom of its travel for a minimum of one second. The glass is finally driven to the fully up position and held stalled for a minimum of one second. The re-learning procedure must also be accomplished to regain the automatic glass closing sequence.
