2000 Isuzu Rodeo Question

I have been having problems with it changing from 2nd to 3rd gear. When the lights in my dash that let you know when your in park reverse drive. When it doesnt light up it shifts hard form 2nd to 3rd but when they work it shifts just fine. And my other problem is I have anti freeze in 3 of my spark plug wholes.

Hi stewpidnes,

The gear position indicator not lightng up intermittently indicates a fault with the Park Neutral Position switch or it is out of adjustment. When this occurs, shifting would be affected.

As to coolant in the plug holes, it could mean a bad cylinder head. A pressure test would have to be carried out to identify the cause.
