I'm having intermittent turn signal issues on my car listed above. When I start the car or when I turn on my headlights, the left turn signal arrow on the dash and the left turn signal lights outside come on. Sometimes it's a solid light and sometimes it flickers. I've checked the fuse, the bulbs and their connectors, the switch and the flasher relay. Nothing I've checked or replaced has made any sort of difference.

Hi,

What you describe sounds like we may have a weak ground for the left headlamp. Interestingly, both the high and low beams (left side) share a ground with the left front signal. If that ground is weak, power can back feed through components (in this case the lights you mentioned) to seek a good ground. When this happens with a light, the light can turn on because power is running through it.

So, I attached the wiring schematic for the headlamps. We are looking for ground A1. It is under the hood on the driver's side.

Additionally, I attached the wiring schematic for the headlamp circuit. It is for a non-hybrid vehicle, so if you have a hybrid, let me know.

Also, the last pic shows the location of the ground. Check the ground for damage, corrosion, or a loose connection, and let me know what you find.

Take care,

Joe
