Ignition timing

I the car listed above SE that hit the gas. Now it acts like it want to stall at the stop sign. Someone said the timing could be off. So I was going to check it and I found a video that is similar and I took a screenshot of it to see if that is correct.

Hi,

I'm not sure what I am seeing in the pic. It looks like the transmission pan.

As far as the issue, timing usually doesn't change unless something is left loose. And actually, it isn't adjustable on this vehicle.

Do me a favor. Let me know exactly what is happening, if anything happened to cause it, or anything you can think of that may help.

I have to be honest, it sounds like it could be an engine vacuum leak or even a fuel pressure issue.

Someone looked at it and said everything was good, but it makes a rough sound and also whoever owned it floored it and after that when he came to a stop it acted like it wanted to stall.

Hi,

I don't mean to be a pain, but I'm looking at an exhaust manifold and a thermostat housing. Neither one deals with timing. Also, the timing is not adjustable. It is controlled by the PCM.

If possible, record it cranking and running so I can hear it. If it is a timing issue, I should be able to tell when it is cranking.

Well, he said he hit the gas really hard. Now when he comes to a stop it acted like it wanted to cut off or stall. I thought it was the converter or main relay because Honda are bad for that.

Have you checked for vacuum leaks? Fuel pressure?

He had the exhaust checked but the engine itself is burning gas bad and it sounds like it does not want to run.

Have you checked fuel pump pressure? The regulator could be bad and the pressure too high.

Also, can you record it running so I can hear it?

Do you mean there are no codes? A faulty crankshaft position sensor can cause issues and not set codes. Take a look through this link:.

I attached a pic below showing its location. Check to make sure there are no damaged wires or corrosion at the connector.

It's got a check engine light popping up but no way to check with scanner. Someone told me you got to jump the connector to count the flashes which make no sense to me.

Why can't you check it? Do you have a scan tool? The data link connector (DLC) is above the left kick panel under the dash. See the attached pic.

This one doesn't have the obd 2 I don't believe so they said check the blue connector and jump it and do it that way I contacted the dealer they said they the only ones that can and I said that's bull.

I have to be honest. I'm not sure what you are dealing with. Vehicles after 1995 were required to have an OBD2 system. I have no idea what they are asking you to jump.
