When I try to crank the car, it will not start. I makes a mild sound?

It sounds like the battery needs replacement, but to be sure let turn the headlights on while you crank the engine. If the lights go out, the battery is bad, or you have a bad connection at the battery. Here are two guides to help us see what's going on.
