Electrical problem
2003 Hyundai Santa Fe 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 100k miles

1.I need to install a trailer traffic light control unit. Anybody knows the wiring for this car? Is there any harness hidden inside the trunk or I have to install the wiring system? ($15)
2. This car has a central lock but without keyless entry. How can I install a keyless entry? Is the control unit under the crash panel or inside the door?($15)

3. The instruction with the pictures would be great.

Thanks a lot!

It shows that there is no exact match model for my vin number. (Maybe because it is from canada)

I would like more detailed instructions on trailer light wiring and keyless entry.

Thanks

Hi hubolei,

If there is no exact match, guess you would have to DIY and make the necessary connections provided there are no legal implications. I don't have any diagrams but will try to explain as best as I can.

1. Make sure of all the lights and accessories needed and mark the wires from the trailer accordingly.

2. Tap the wires from source near taillight for each light that you want to use and make a connector.

3. Job is done.

To connect a keyless system you need to get a control unit to be attached to the original door lock control unit.

I am not sure about the location or the system used. Some uses a 1 wire ON/OFF system whereas others uses a 2 wire Lock and Unlock system.

Make sure you remote control unit is suitable for your system.
