2003 Hyundai Santa Fe Fuses

I have my ABS brakes grinding an so I read some where on the internet where I could just take out the big fuse. I did and it eliminated the ABS trying to work but also in the meantime it must have disabled my airbag because the air bag light and a few other TRS light comes on. I am concerned that in an accident my air bag will not deploy.

Are these guses tied up to one another as the lights coming on suggests?

When the abs was trying to work with the fuse in was the abs light coming on after the initial abs self check? If the air bag light is on then the air bag is disabled. The big fuse like the maxie fuses are more then one circuit usually.
