alternator belt and ac belt are screaming most of the time, especially the alternator belt, which I have replaced 3 times in 2 years. Chunks of rubber are missing from the alternator belt now and rubber is shredding in that area. I am going to have to replace the belt again...but how do I correct this problem or where do we look first?

I would suggest making sure that all the pullies spin freely and that the belt is not contacting anything. Also make sure that the groves were the belt rides are clean of any chunks of rubber and dibris. You may want to take some fine sand-paper and just scuff up all the pullys a bit aswell.....
