Hi there, today when I was driving for about 30 mins, I found the blower blowing cool air instead of hot air, but I set temp to hot. At that time I also found the temp gauge was rising to H (red zone} The upper radiator hose was hot and the Lower hose was cool. I turned off ignition, wait for a minute, and started again, Temp gauge dropped gradually to normal and Hot air blowing again.
So I had the thermostate replaced. After that, same problem happened again occasionally. Anyone can help in this case.
thanks in advance.

Have you had to add coolant to the system? Is the engine running well? If everything is new, I'm questioning a head gasket or water pump.

Yes. I refilled the coolant after I replaced the thermostate (New, but non OEM). No fluid or coolant leaking at all, So I suppose water pump & head gasket are OK. Engine runs very smooth. Some body told me there might be some air is trapped in the cooling system. Can you tell me how can I get rid of the air from the system, thanks
