1988 Honda Prelude Not Charging

the car is not charging, the alternator is getting power to it but none coming out. but when i had the alternator tested on a load tester it said it was putting out 17 volts, when i put it back on still nothing. any help or advice would be greatly appricated. thanks

I would check the wiring and connections. You are getting no charge at the battery and yet the alternator seems to be doing its job. Wiring.
