Progressively worse problem. Left blinker blinks fast, or to slow. Blinker stays dimly lit in between flashes, and the white running light flashes (left side only - it is not suppose to). Intermitted wiper cycles 1/2 way and won't finish cycle completely.

Replaced Alternator, no improvement at all.

Removed Neg cable while running. No improvement.

Hi kurt1962,

Thank you for the donation.

The blinkers working funny with the white running lights indicates a bad ground connection. The blinker is using the running lights to ground. Check the ground connections behind the left headlight on wheel house.

The above might be related to the wiper intermittent function. If the ground does not resolve the problem. Check the intermittent wiper relay. If it is faulty, it would not allow the wiper to park correctly.

Relay is located on left rear corner of engine compartment.

If the wipers parks correctly, the problem could be due to a bad wiper motor or integrated control unit, plugged into underdash fuse box.

NB. When vehicle is running, the negative terminal should never be disconnected. With so many electronic components that are sensitive, a power surge can fry up things.

I checked the common ground. The bolt was loose and corroded. I repaired it and everything is working properly.

It was painted 17K miles ago and I think they loosened it trying to get the side light removed. That is when the problems started.

Ok on the not removing the negative wire while running.

Thank you.

Kurt
