It depends on the timing position of the camshafts. A broken timing on your engine can bend or break valves, damage pistons, scrape cylindef bores, break camshafts. If the timing belt on your engine has broken - it is best to at least remove the head to check and see if any damage is done to the tops of the pistons - check the valves ETC. Don't just replace the timing belt (if it breaks) because you can do even more damage.
