hi I have an 89 honda prelude, I like to ask what happens when the the oxygen sensors are not working.

You will have an engine light illuminate and your vehicle will experience poor fuel mileage. Also will not be able to pass emissions test if your state requires that. Otherwise, it will not effect the performance of engine any other way.
