Hello,
I desperately need help with my 1994 acura integra rs. Let me apologize in advance for the length of this but I think I should explain things from the beginning. I hit something in the road and got a hole in my oil pan and did not know and the car stalled.

The oil light did not turn on, the temp gauge did not show that it was overheated and no loud noises or grinding. It just stopped running.(Found out about oil pan after towed home) Repaired hole in oil pan but car would just turn over but not start. Someone looked at car and found that the timing belt had broke. Took to shop and had timing belt fixed.

Mechanic told me engine was damaged and suggested a used engine be put in at a cost of approx. $1500.00. Didn't have money at the time so had car towed home. Decided to remove head to inspect. Found worn damage on camshaft but no other damage. Was told that if seized cam it would have broke timing belt. Made sense to me so I decided to have the head replaced. New head, cams etc. Car still would not start just turn over. Replaced battery, distributor cap and plugs still no start. Getting power to distributor but nothing from dist. To plugs. Replaced ICM still wont start! What is going on? Can't waste anymore money replacing parts with no progress. Why would these things fail when I had no previous problems before car quit?

What are they missing? Distributor supposedly check out to be fine. They are telling me now that the ECM needs replaced? Is this right? Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hey,

It sounds like you have one of two problems, first I would check all system grounds and make sure anything is plugged in. Next, double check the timing belt timing and see if the engine has compression.

Let us know what happens.
