I have a 1999 Honda Odyssey with approximately $75,000 miles on it. Recently, I have had difficulty shifting the car from park into drive. It appears as though it gets stuck. Eventually it will let me shift, but it often takes a few minutes and I usually hear a clicking noise right before it allows me to shift into drive.

There is a safety device on the shifter that wont let it come out of park unless the brake is depressed. It sounds like that solenoid or the relay is getting a little sticky or is ready to fail.Try pushing on the brake pedal repeatedly until you hear the click, but i would get it taken care of before it leaves you stranded.
