At 70 MPH the speedometer momentarily dropped to zero, along with the "maint req'd" light. Both returned to normal within 1 second. Soon afterward an intermittent burning smell. I stopped the car and determined the smell was not noticeable while outside the vehicle, nor coming from under the hood. The car then would start but not stay running until a waiting period of about 10 minutes. A Honda dealer could not duplicate the speedometer issue, but did replace the ignition switch in the steering column, as they said the contacts were severely worn, and probably the cause of the smell and running issue. Now, one day later, the interior lights (as if a door was opened) all come on uncommanded, and my instrument and center console background lights are all out. I replaced the instrument light fuse, which was no help. The headlights and backup lights work normally.

This is a complicated issue might end back to the dealership for repair But I will give it my best shot-

Check and test fuse no.9 and no.11 10amp if both okay test or replace the interior lights relay behind left side of dash and also the driver's multiplex control unit at driver's underdash fuse/relay box-below left end of dash
