We experienced the following problems with our minivan: turn signals stopped working, washer fluid stopped working, power doors stopped working, compass/outside temp gauge stopped working. Then all items came back but a few minutes later we got check transmission problem. Dealer could find no problems on first visit. Problem went away for a few days. The second time this occurred the alarm was also triggered after about 30 minutes while driving. Car had been started when this problem was occurring (based on doors not opening). Now the dealer states the gauge cluster should be replaced (at a cost of nearly $1000). Does this make sense?

Hello. thanks for the donation ..much appreciated

Really sorry about that ..The guage does play a part in all the systems you are having a fault with .. The gauge is 1 part of the integrated control system and has a module built in, to control different functions on the car, along with other modules .. my last post should have been aksing you to make SURE your dealer is positive the gauge module is actually the cause of the main fault ..and not another module on the system ...

I appreciate the updated answer. The dealer has now installed 2 new gauge clusters (after claiming the first one they received from Honda must have been faulty). The problem reappeared yesterday, 1 day after picking up the vehicle. It's back at the dealership now as they continue to try and track down the problem. It's a mess and now my wife is clamoring for a new car. Ugh.
