I have both of my front (automatic) door locks that don't
work with the key fob any longer, the two rear work and hatch. I've been able to get the door panels off but can't manage to figure out how to take the solenid or lock motor which pushes the lock up, how to remove it with out breaking it. Is there a special tool or way to get it out?
It's in a very difficult position so I can really see all sides of it. Maybe it has a release latch or something?
Thanks
Joe

Hi joe,

Thank you for the donation.

The actuator is attached to the latch assy by means of screws and you would need to at least loosen the latch assy to gain access to the holding screws.

I can't find any diagrams to show you how. To loosen the latch assy, remove the 3 screw at side of door and the latch can be moved slightly iwards. To take the latch assy out of door you would need to disconnect the linkages.
