I have a 98 honda civic coupe, dx, 1.6l, non vtec. Im replacing the stock radiator with an all aluminum rad. What is the proper way to do it? What is the proper way to refill coolant once everything is put back together? I have heard of bleeding the system, how do you do that?

Pull out the old one and reverse the process in putting in the new one. If the one you are taking out had a transmission cooler on it so should the new one. You will need to add Honda tranny fluid to the tranny. Fill the radiator full and fill the overflow to the max level. Start and run the engine until it gets to normal temp. Then on the upper hose near the head you will find the bleeder. Slowly open it and let the steam and air out until it is coolant coming out. Close and drive the car then recheck the coolant level and the bleeder.
