Gets warm then runs with loss of power

1995 Honda Civic with 1.5L. When cold the engine runs pretty good and starts well. Then once the engine gets warm it is harder to start, but will. Then the power of the engine seems to drop during the acceleration of gear changes. Once you overcome the bogging of the engine in a gear the motor will pickup speed and seem to run ok until the next gear change. When you finally get into 5th you gon't want to have to stop or downshift. Any ideas would really be welcome. Thanks much!

Someone else recently had the same problem. I would pursue the spark plug wires and put on the best. Check the plugs to see if they are black and sooty. Timing could be off and thus fuel is plenty but not getting burned efficiently.
