You have to look at what would be moving and I wonder if you could be having a brake problem. What comes to mind is the warping of a disc causing a problem but at the higher speeds the problem is masked.

Suggested Repair

Inspect the brakes, especially for a warped brake disc or rotor. A warped disc can cause vibration around 40-50 mph that is less noticeable at higher speeds.

Conversation Summary

The owner of an automatic Honda Civic VTEC EG8 reported front-end shimmering or vibration while cruising at 40-50 mph that stopped when accelerating faster. Engine mounts, transmission fluid, engine oil, and both axle joints had already been replaced without fixing it. The expert suggested checking the brakes, noting that a warped disc can cause speed-specific vibration that is masked at higher speeds.
