I have an 88 honda civic and the clutch is non existent. Is this a difficult job to replace at home? Where can I get a step by step instructional to help me?

The job is not that bad. Look at the public library for a maintenance manual or check with the auto parts store for a book to purchase or even on this website is a link to manuals for vehicles.

Something to consider, you will need a cherry picker or a come-along to assist with the job. One of the steps is to remove a motor mount on the tranny. To do this you will need to support and raise a small amount the engine.

Good luck
