I just changed my time belt back in October. In January, I started hearing this squealing noise coming from the front of my car. It would stop when I'd apply the brakes. The noise lasted about 2 or 3 weeks then completely stopped so I never had it checked out. It started again this week and I'm getting concerned. What could this be?

Hi KN41018,

If the noise is related to engine rpm, then the beltings needs some adjustment.

If the squealing happens when driving at low speeds and goes off if the brakes are applied, the pads should be running out and the wear indicator is touching the rotor causing the squealing.
Check brake pads wear.
