1998 Honda Civic 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

I have a 1998 honda civic DX. I put the diagnostic machine to it and it read Bank 1 sensor 2. Witch is the O2 sensor so I changed it. Its a honda part not after market. I cleared the computer and still reads the same thing. I then changed the computer in my car and it still has the check engine light on. What could be the problem and how can I fix it? I need to smog my car like as of yesterday. Thanks for your help.

You probably replaced the wrong oxygen sensor.

Your vehicle has two oxygen sensors. You want to replace the one furthest away from the engine (after the catalytic convertor)
