My engine light and SRS light comes on when my car door is open and goes off when it is closed. My brake light stays on. What causes that?

Hi yungswagg3,

The CEL and SRS lights are not linked to the door switch. The problem seems to indicate a faulty meter cluster or the ground circuit.

Brake lights staying on is usually due to a missing/bad brake switch stopper located on brake pedal.
