Hello,

I have a 97 Honda Accord. It has about 140K and I have had it for about 3 years. I have been good about having the regular maintenence done to it. Just recently I have had problems with the clutch and shifting gears. First the tension on the clutch has decrease. It does not take as much pressure to press it down. Also in the morning it has big problems shifing gears. I have to use all my strength to get it into first and then the other gears. After about 20 minutes of driving I can smoothly shift the gears. Please help.

Thank you for your time.

Hi there,

You may have air in the clutch hydraulics, check for leaks at the master cylinder and the slave cylinder.
Replace faulty components and bleed system.
