So I get into my car today to go to the doctor and when I put in the clutch to turn the car on, it drops about half way when I barely touched it. I thought that was odd, but preceded to turn the car on normally, but it would not go into any gear. It felt like I didn't have the clutch in at all. I am hoping that I just need to put in fluid. What type of fluid do I need and where is the reservoir that I add it to? Is there a special way to do it (ex. Does the car need to be on and running or does it need to be off?), Or do I just pour it in and pump the clutch to get it to circulate?

Thank you so much :)

HI there,

You will have a leaking master or slave cylinder, the reservoir is on the fire wall next to the brake cylinder, the slave cylinder is on the gear box, you will have to get these inspected for leaks as the fluid will drain out quickly and you will be stranded again, the fluid is standard brake fluid sold at all parts out lets. You may have to get the system bleed of air to get you going again, to do this hold the pedal to the floor and open the bleeder on the slave cylinder, close and raise pedal, do this 4-5 time till no air is in system. Re fill reservoir.
