Hi,

I have a 2000 honda accord EX V6 automatic with about 80k miles on it and every morning when I start it to go to work, it runs fine. Same when driving home from work(about 30 to 40 min drive), but after going home from work and let the car rest for about 10+ min, I start the car again, the rpm will go up and down continuously and some times shut off after a few seconds. If I give it some gas and put it on D quickly, it would run without any problem. Can someone tell me what's wrong with it. Thanks.

Please take this to heart. Check the coolant level of the car. Make sure it is topped off AND has no air in the system. There is a bleeder on the top hose I believe near the engine. Top the coolant, get the engine warm, and slowly open the bleeder and let out vapor, steam, air. Close and try again several times to get the air out. This should dismiss the problem you have been having.
