Honda Accord, EX, 95, 183k, 2.4. My car shakes/vibrates a little when accelerating. After attaining the speed, the drive is quite smooth. Need help in diagnosing the problem. I recently had both axels and spark plugs changed.

Prior to the axles being replaced did the car have this problem? I am suspecting that the wheels are out of balance, particularly the front and even then it might be just one. It could be that a wheel weight was knocked off during repair or on the road.

No, it didnt not have this problem before the change. As a matter of fact, it didnt have this shaking for a week or so after the work was done. I started noticing while coming back from a long distance trip. But, I do not recall my car hitting anything on the trip.

I still recommend looking at the tire balance and a possibility of a tire cord problem. You don't really need to have hit anything for these problems to surface. For instance, if a wheel weight is nugged and loosened, the certifical force of the wheel as it spins can finish the removal of the weight.
