Hello,
My car has 161,000 miles with orignal front rotors. They have a worn down to the point where they will not pass inspection. Looking at the repair manual it looks like a involved job to replace the rotors by myself. If there is enough meat on the rotors, can they be turned on the car? Or are they llikly to warp?
During light acceleration, barely on the gas I get pinging. Increase the gas and pinging stops. Any ideas?
Thanks for your help,
Eric

[quote:3db0783156="saltyc1"]I have the Actron CP9175. I took my first reading because the check engine lite stayed on for a week.
I read this:P-171 & P-174.
"Bank to lean" for the 2 codes I read.

Exactly what does this indicate? I know that the air/fuel mixture is to lean...?
I would like to know what and where to fix it.
Thanks a lot...

You are extremely lucky to have gotten the miles you did on the rotors. Replace them.

The light pinging....check your fuel you put in an try to stay around a 90 octane or better and see if that helps. I would also suggest that you check the timing of the engine.
