How do you change the front rotors on a 1993 accord, they seem to be pressed on there. Even after I take the nut off that is holding them on, they will not budge even with a large hammer. Is the only way to take them off with a bearing puller, if not what other options are there?

On the early Accords, the front assembly was very poorly designed. Here is what you do:
1. Take the cotter pin and nut off the lower ball joint.
2. Be careful in this step, remove lower ball joint from lower control arm.
3. Pull hub assembly out so that the cv shaft is completely out of the hub.
4. Remove the 4 10mm bolts that you have to use a 12 point socket on the back side of the hub assembly.
5. Pull out on the rotor (sometimes you have to use a pickle-fork)
6. Remove the 4 12mm bolts from the front of the bearing/rotor assembly and pull rotor off from the back side.

I was wondering if you really need to take that wheel bearing off and the ball joint off. As well as taking out the cv shaft.

Would it be possible to just remove the four bolts holding the rotor on to the wheel bearing?

Thanks!

That model of Accord had a really stupid design for the front hubs. The four outer bolts that you see on the rotor only hold it to the wheel bearing. Unfortunately, the wheel bearing is pressed on to the spindle, which is what the aformentioned four bolts go to. So, to get the rotors off, you have to follow the directions I gave earlier.
