I OWN A 1999 HONDA ACCORD, 4 CYLINDER. THE CAR IS USING 2 QUARTS OF OIL EVERY 500 MILES. VERY MINOR LEAKS. VERY MINOR SMOKE. HOW COULD IT BE LOOSING THIS MUCH OIL?

Hi SanCarlos125,

The minor smoke is the part that is consuming a lot of oil.

The valve seals are bad resulting in oil being burnt when engine is running. The catalytic converter has reduced some of the smoke.
