I am a girl and I dont know a lot ab cars. One of my mecanics told me that I have a problem with tie rod ends and a struts, but another 3 told me that I have a problem only with struts. First one seems to be more knowlegeblr, but its all confusing me. Can you tell me at what I have to look to und whats true and what wrong. The is no wibration but there is sounds when I am hitting curbs, so struts I can understand. Also prises for changing struts from 385-680, thats a big difference? Whom to trust.
Another problem is thaat my cruise control stopped working and I dont know how to fix it? Thank a lot!

Hi vovcharenko,

If the problem is with the tie rod end, jacking up the vehicle and softly shaking wheel left and right would tell you if there are excessive clearance.

If the noise is from the struts, they would be kncoking most of the time and not when going over bumps only.

I am joining the fun and giving you additional headache, lol. Sorry, just joking.

From my personal experience, knocking noises over bumps are usually caused by the sway bar links for this model.

I would suggest getting someone better qualified than those you have contacted.

To check the cruise control, there are many different possible causes and one of the most common is the brake and/or clutch switch. Diagnostics and testing would have to be carried out to determine the cause.
