I was told that my rack and pinion bushings were bad and it was going to be $550 to fix. So I decided to shop around for the parts to find a better deal. Which I have found much cheaper part, but all I have found is the entire rack and pinion assembly. These assemblies mention nothing about bushings and I cannot find steering rack bushings for a honda accord anywhere. I just need to know if these assemblies have everthing I need or do honda accords just not have these steering rack bushings that all other cars seem to have. Any advice would be greatly appreciated thank you.

Hi fanman82,

There are bushings but I am not able to find any part number for the replacements. The labor time for replacement is listed at 0.8 hours

The diagram shows where the bushes are located, 2 for the red arrows and the blue color is a rubber band type bush.

Thank you KHLow2008 this helps alot after talking again with the shop it seems that these bushings do come with the entire assembly or at least thats what they claimed so I am going to go ahead and buy the parts.I dont know why these bushings cannot be found it is really quite ridiculous, but in the end I'll have a new steering rack and inner tie rods to go along with the new outer tie rods and cv's that I changed last year I'll almost have a whole new front end. Lol

Sorry I forgot to mention that the new rack should be supplied with the bushings.

Parts should be a dealer part, did you check with them?
