1996 Honda Accord transmission

Clutch resevoir was very low and wasent working slave valve properly. We filled it up and it went down again no leaks. I belive is full of air if so how do you bleed the hydrolic clutch system we have zero clutch pedal now. Thanks

Hi jhuggins,

There must be a leak somewhere to get the fluid level low.

To bleed the system, you need to manually pull the pedal up and depress. Use the bleeder nut at slave cylinder to bleed. If you are not able to get any pressure after bleeding, the master cylinder is bad.

If you need to keep puting fluid in, it's leaking. I recently went through this with a 92 accord. Check the master and slave cylinders. See if there is any wetness in those areas. If there is, you may have to replace them. There cheap but a pain to replace, because they're in such tight spots. From my experience, the slave and master went at the same time. If its the hydraulic line, good luck figureing out if that's leaking. Until you figure it out, keep puting fluid in their, pump the clutch back up, and away you go. Worked for me, I think I was just bleeding it through leak/s.
