My car needed a new axle; the wheel spinned from a broken ball joint. After I replaced the axle, the car drove for about 5 minutes, and then coasted to a stop, engine still running. I put the car into any gear and nothing happens. In fact, in any gear, I can push the car as if it was in neutral. Any ideas are appreciated.

Hi antondee,

Thank you for the donation.

If the car can be pushed even when shift is selected to park, check the axle inner joints installation. The joint could have dislodged itself due to improper installation or the locking clip is weak and unable to hold the inner CV joint in place.

KHLow2008,
Wow. Thanks a LOT! I haven't fixed it yet, but I checked it and. The axle is is not lodged in.

I have more questions for that car but that's for later.

Again, thanks!
