Engine Mechanical problem
1991 Honda Accord 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

Hello,
I've toyed with cars all my life but have yet to come across this issue. We have a 91 Accord with a 92 engine in it (previous owner) that has had some minor issues. The drivers side window recently came off track and is slightly open. The day after a big storm my boyfriend started the car, worked fine, then a non broken window down and the car stalled and died. It has power still (lights, radio, dash) and the battery is fine, it turns over but does not start. The fuses are all fine, plugs and wires relatively new. For the hell of it I opened the gas cap figuring vapor lock might be an issue. Sure enough, vapor escaped and hissed when I took the cap off. Not sure if the electrical storm had anything to do with it, atmospheric pressure and all. Tried starting it again with no luck. Waited two days to see if something needed to dry out. No luck.

Any suggestions?

Check for spark .
Here is a step by step guide:

If no spark remove cap and crank engine checking if rotor turning when cranking if not
check timing belt.
If turning suspect bad distributor.
