Electrical problem
1989 Honda Accord 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive 227K miles

The 'charge' light came on while driving, it at first was intermittant & seemed rpm related.....
If you let the car sit it would charge initially until rpm's were increased....
I tried to remove the alternator, but after unbolting it could not get it past the bottom of the firewall....
So I cannot even get it out to test it...
Please tell me the engine does not need to come out to get at it.....
What route would a professional mechanic take to remove/reinstall it?.....
