My wife's vehicle check engine light came on a couple times with a po340 code. I checked the connector and fuses. No problem found she then proceeded to tell me her battery light had turned on a couple times too. So, I tested the aot and it was only putting out 12.6. Changed the alternator with an aftermarket new one and everything did great for a few days. Then the car started stalling out and the po340 came back now it's a crank no start. I have checked the sensor it ohms out good. Had a good ground. Any ideas?

Hello,

The code P0340 can get triggered due to a number of factors.
It could be for having a bad cam sensor, wiring issue like open or short, damages shielding for the sensor. It can also be due to an issue with the PCM or wiring for the PCM.

To figure out what is causing the issue you will have to take a deeper dive and test a few items. I have attached the complete trouble shooting guide for the code P0340.
Follow those steps as it can help you determine the issue.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.
