I have a 2009 Suzuki XL7. I noticed a few weeks ago, while the air conditioning was running, that I couldn't change the vents that it blew out of. When I turned the directional knob to any postion, head/head and feet/ defrost/etc, that it would stay blowing at my head and feet no matter what. Now a few weeks later, its getting cold out. I tried to turn the hot/cold knob to heat, and it still blows cold air. After looking up many things online. My husband took apart the panels under the drivers side/steering wheel. And the glove box/passenger side. A video on YouTube was showing the actuators. And levers/pullies that would move while turning the knobs even when the actuator is off. These are not moving. We aren't quite sure what to do or try. He said he can feel that heat is building up somewhere up front, but its like its not coming through. Can we manually open a door to let it in? Where is it located? Is it possible for both actuators h/c and directional one to go bad at the same time?

Try pulling hvac fuse inside car for 60 seconds with key on it may reset the actuators. I am assuming this is automatic temp control which if the reset doesn't work you will have to have a local pro scan it for codes to see what is causing the actuator/s not to work. In pic single arrow is for temp actuator and double for air flow direction.
