I think I might have a blown head gasket, but do not know. The car does not hold coolant unless it is sitting in the driveway. It heats up very quickly and very lightly smokes at stops or when I turn the car off. The oil is not milky and there are no visible signs of a leak for coolant, and right under the transmission there is a puddle and smells like coolant, but I cannot imagine coolant is leaking all the way back there.

Check the water outlet housing on top of engine (looks like thermostat housing), very common failure. If coolant leaks there it may be running down below the plenum gasket and leaking out the back.

If you have a pressure tester pressure test the system to verify. Let us know what you find.

I just replaced that over the summer, it is probably not tightened down enough. I will check that out.
