Smoke and water out of exhuast

I just recently purchased a 99 Denali with 101,000 miles on it. It drives and runs real strong. My question is, is it normal after letting it idle for a while then hit the accelerator for a little smoke to come out? Also it is a small puddle of water under the exhaust tip, is this normal as well?

Yes that is normal, if there is a little bit of water in the gas tank then you will have water in the exhaust. Sad thing is lots of places have water in their gas tanks before they go to the pump and if u fuel while the gas station is having their tanks filled you get all that water that is stirred up.

I even had a guy around here that said he put 10 gallons of water in with his gas on a new shipment!
