Cranks with key removed but never starts

1999 GMC suburban 143,000 miles cranks and continues to crank with key off and removed.
Never even trys to start, I changed the ignition harness and still does the same any ideas?

Sounds like the solenoid on the starter is engage all the time. Check to see if there is power to the solenoid all the time. If not the solenoid is making contact all the time causing the starter motor to engage without the key. Good luck :)
