The truck was running fine until the weather dropped from 40 to below 0. The next day the truck started but about 5 minutes later it died. About an hour later it started again but then it acted like it ran out of gas. The gas tank is almost full. I replaced the fuel filter and the battery, but it is still acting the same way as if it is running out of gas. It will start but I can't keep it running. Is the fuel pump the only problem left or could it be something else?

Sounds like good old water in the fuel. Pull the filter off. Then attach a line to the pump side and have someone turn on the key. While they turn on the key hold a clear glass container so you can collect some of the gas out of it. Take it inside and let it set for a bit. Then look and see if there is any water in it. Next dump some dry gas in the tank and rock the truck a little to get it to mix.

IF you disconnect the filter and turn the key on and don't get any fuel and you don't hear the pump then it could be the pump. However they usually just fail, then the engine will not start at all.

Don't you love COLD weather.

Or just try some fuel system cleaner. Most of them contain a water remover.
