1993 GMC Sonoma Wont' start occasionally

Engine Performance problem
1993 GMC Sonoma 6 cyl Manual 131000 miles

My GMC will not start - it will turn over and fire but wont start. AFter about an hour or so, it will start. I hear the fuel pump kick on. What could be the problem, I don't know where to start?

Check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator and fuel pump. If okay test the IACV, TPS and MAP sensor

How do you check the fuel pressure?

Also, I just went to try to start it to get it home, now, it will not start. It is turning over and sparking and I hear the fuel pump kick on too.

TBI.

I'm starting to think it's the timing. When it did run (this morning) it seemed to be idiling a little fast. Could this be it? Not outraegous, just little faster than normal.

How do I check this and/or replace?

My spark plugs and plug wires are only about 2 years old. The fuel pump is two years old too. I know it's not the fuel pump, I can hear it kick on.
