2002 GMC Sierra wont start

02 GMC Sierra running fine, parked with 1/2 tank of gas. Went back several hours later, would crank fine but wouldnt start. Gas gauge showed empty. No evidence of a leak. Added 10 gallons of gas but gauge didnt move and now have '' low fuel'' warning light and still wont start. Checked fuses, all ok. But would fuel gauge and fuel pump be on same fuse anyway? Can someone help?

If you don't hear the fuel pump come on for 2secs -check and test the ECM B fuse and fuel pump relay-if you could hear it -check the fuel pressure with a gauge if its within specs.
