Actually, that is true. There is one in the fuel filter and the pump. An easy way to check if that is the problem is to do a fuel pump pressure test. Then when you shut the key, the system should hold pressure for at least 10 minutes and not completely bleed off. Here is the instructions for checking fuel pump pressure. Remember, you are more interested in fuel pressure bleed off. That is when the key is turned off and the pump stops working. You need to see if the system holds pressure.
