Screeching excelerator

Renualt clio 1.2, year:2002, mileage:44506.
could you please help me, when holding the car at a speed, gently pressing on the excelerator there is a terrible squeeling noise comes from the car. Although when you put your foot flat to the floor or lift your foot of the excelerator the noise stops. Any idea what this could be? Tiz driving me potty! :Cry:

Sounds like a loose fan belt to me. That is a common noise from your car. It could be you are driving it on the wrong soide of the road. Let me know before it drives you real potty! Good luck
