Hi everyone, I have a 1998 Chevrolet Silverado that has no operational running lights. I'v checked the fuse and it's fine so I take it my next step is to trace the wiring? Any other ideas out there?

Thanks

Daytime running lights are basically your low beams on at a lower voltage at any time the vehical is running, with the emergency brake off. Having said that, do you have a burnt out light. Turn engine on, leave in park, no emergency brake on. Check to make sure both high and low beam work. When a headlight burns out daytime running lights do not work. Also note on your dashboard. Do you have a headlight symbol? This light will always be on during daylight driving. When you switch on your headlights it will turn off. This bulb may also be burnt out.

Kelly, I don't know if they changed from 98 to 99 but my 99 silverado running lights only come on when you put the vehicle in gear. They don't work in park. They aren't hard to get to if you pull the 2 pins holding the headlight and move it out of the way. Hope this helps, good luck
