Intermitten power door lock problem

My power door locks on my 1999 Surburban usuallly work the first or second time by using the door controls or the remote. After that they will not lock or unlock. After sitting for a few hours they will work ok but only once then quit again. The rear doors seem to work ok, the problem is with the other 4 doors. What could be causing this?

You may have a lazy door lock relay. It is located high above your emergency brake assembly. It is black, flat and about 3" long. Good luck
